The mission of Embedded Applications Technology Group:
- Our goal, as an academically based project oriented group, is to research, study, design and build embedded processor based systems with Internet connectivity.
- We will utilize and develop the skills and talents of the participating student body.
- We will help prepare the participating students for future careers by introducing them to state-of-the-art technologies that are not currently being taught in the department.
- We will present the results of our research in papers to be published at professional conferences.
- We will publish a bi-semester on-line technical journal that will allow students from all engineering disciplines to publish their papers.
- Invite and sponsor industry speakers to come give technical presentations and demonstrations of current embedded technologies.
- Establish and foster sponsorships and relationships among the engineering industrial community in order to bridge communication between potential employers and students.
- Sponsor technical interchanges (conferences, demonstrations, competitions, community outreach efforts etc…) between academic institutions that also have similar embedded system pursuits.
It is the purpose of this organization to introduce students to new technologies and promote our school to the outside world.
