Every year one of the top resolutions is to better programming skills, whether it be gaining a deeper understanding of a language you already know, or even learn a new language.

One resolution that all computer engineering and computer science students should take up (but most won't) is learning how to write more secure code. Not only will it improve the quality of the code you produce, but it will also be a great way to help differentiate you from your peers when you get out into industry.

With that in mind here is the SANS Institute's Top 25 Most Dangerous Programming Errors (and how to fix them).

The Ernest F. Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship Program PDF Print E-mail

The Ernest F. Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship Program Application is now available on-line. The application due date is January 30, 2009. You must be a sophomore at the time of application to be eligible. Award approximately 100 undergraduate students, U.S. citizens only, who will be a junior in the Fall 2009 will be selected as Hollings scholars beginning Fall 2009 academic term.
